Run CrystalGrower

  • Summarize: many of the parameters can be set to "Vary?" in which case multiple simulations will be performed to cover all permutations of variables.  Clicking "Summarize" will show you all the simulations to be performed.
  • Run CrystalGrower: clicking this button executes CrystalGrower.  A progress window will show when every 100,000 iterations have been completed as well as when movie frames are saved. The window also shows when memory is allocated to specific site types giving an indication of the most important sites.  If the simulation completes successfully a logo will appear indicating completion.  If parameters are varied then a completion will be signified after each simulation. If insufficient memory has been allocated via "Size of simulation in the x/y/z direction" on tab [Simulation Options] or via the automatic memory allocation also on tab [Simulation Options] then an early termination is indicated and output files are created at that juncture.
  • Stop CrystalGrower: this aborts CrystalGrower immediately. The output files will be incomplete.
